4DPicture Project Website Privacy Policy

This Policy describes the information that the 4DPicture website collects from you, how we use that information and our legal basis for doing so. It also covers whether and how that information may be shared and your rights and choices regarding the information you provide to us.

The 4DPicture project is committed to ensuring that the data we collect as a result of your visit complies with the European Union’s (EU) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), also known as DSGVO in German, and RGPD in French. This is a regulation that applies to companies, non-profit organisations, and public entities worldwide to strengthen data protection for all individuals within the EU.

We collect minimal data to ascertain how many new and returning visitors to our website we have over time and which device they use during each session; which countries around the world are accessing our pages; how many individual pages are viewed over a given time period and how long visitors remain on a particular page. We will also record whether visitors arrive at our pages from referral links on other websites and in social media and whether the resources we make available within our pages are being viewed and downloaded.

In order to collect visitor usage data, we use Matomo Analytics for statistical purposes, to improve our site and to recognize and stop any misuse.

We will never sell your personal data to anyone.

What we collect and receive:

  • Contact form — Our contact form collects information provided by you, which includes: first and last name, function, organisation and email. This information is collected in order to contact you if necessary to perform our services.

You may choose to prevent this website from aggregating and analyzing the actions you take here. Doing so will protect your privacy, but will also prevent the owner from learning from your actions and creating a better experience for you and other users.

Matomo Subprocessors

The Matomo service uses a select number of trusted external service providers for certain technical data processing and/or service offerings. These service providers are carefully selected and meet high data protection and security standards. We only share information with them that is required for the services offered and we contractually bind them to keep any information we share with them as confidential and to process Personal Data only according to our instructions.

Your Rights

You have the right to be informed of Personal Data processed by 4DPicture, a right to rectification/correction, erasure and restriction of processing. You also have the right to ask from us a structured, common and machine-readable format of Personal Data you provided to us.

We can only identify you via your email address and we can only adhere to your request and provide information if we have Personal Data about you through you having made contact with us directly and/or you using our site and/or service. We cannot provide, rectify or delete any data that we store on behalf of our users or customers.
