The Dutch 4D PICTURE team organizes a public lecture (in Dutch) “Talking and Deciding Together About Cancer” on Monday November 2 at 7:30 PM in Leiden.
How do we talk about cancer, and how can patients, their loved ones, and healthcare professionals make decisions together about treatment and care?
These questions will be at the heart of Talking and Deciding Together About Cancer, an evening dedicated to communication and shared decision-making.
The event’s main focus will be on finding new ways to talk about cancer and how patients, their family members, and healthcare professionals can make decisions together about treatment and care. Discussions will also explore how people navigate the complex healthcare journey and how language and metaphors shape the way we talk about cancer.
The evening will bring together experts from the fields of medical decision-making, public health, and design:
